Rob Wilkinson Founder

Rob Wilkinson is an entrepreneur, property finance and investment specialist, and qualified Master Mariner.

He is a co-founder of Crowd With Us Ltd, trading as CWU Capital, a specialist property-backed lending business.

His commercial experience encompasses secured lending, development finance, investment management, refinancing, complex negotiations and the management of distressed property-backed investments.

A particular area of expertise is strategic asset management, including the development of alternative recovery strategies for challenging loans and investments.

This work requires a combination of financial understanding, commercial negotiation, asset-level analysis and the ability to manage competing interests while remaining focused on the ultimate financial outcome.

Maritime & High-Value Asset Management

Rob spent approximately two decades working professionally at sea and holds a Master Mariner Unlimited Certificate of Competency.

His career included commercial shipping and senior appointments managing large private yachts and associated infrastructure on behalf of ultra-high-net-worth individuals, including members of international royal families.

These roles involved responsibility for substantial assets, operational budgets, personnel, contractors, maintenance and complex logistical arrangements.

The experience developed a disciplined approach to asset management, financial oversight and operational risk, which Rob subsequently applied to his work in secured lending, property investment and distressed asset recovery.

Expeditions & Exploration

Rob has also undertaken a number of demanding endurance expeditions, including the 500km self-supported Lapland Arctic Ultra, Norway’s Fat Viking winter endurance challenge, the NOMAN Mediterranean rowing race and an unsupported rowing expedition through Scotland’s Great Glen.

These experiences reflect a longstanding interest in exploration, preparation, logistics and operating effectively in challenging environments.

Expedition planning & logistics

Professional & Community Involvement

Rob is a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners. He also serves as Secretary of the UK Chapter of the Circumnavigators Club.

He is also a governor of a special school and supports charitable and community initiatives, including fundraising associated with endurance challenges.
